2 Awesome Places to Visit in Nueva Ecija

When I was working in my corporate job, never in my memory, I was able to take a week of vacation leave.

Well, you know the drill in a corporate setup…

If your boss doesn’t approve of your filed leave, you have no right to be absent from your work.

And I remember, I want to take a leave because I just want to stay at home and chill out lol!

Now that I am working from home a lot, I’m craving to go out of the house once in a while.

That’s why when I heard an opportunity to take a familiarization tour to Nueva Ecija offered by the Department of Tourism – Central Luzon, of course, I jumped on it!

Together with fellow bloggers from Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, representatives of Central Luzon Tourism, and M.A.G. Travel and Tours, we headed first in Cuyapo Town Hall.

We were hospitably welcomed by their municipal mayor Hon. Florida Esteban. She shared with us the ecotourism, farm, and faith tourism projects for Nueva Ecija.

After that, our first stop is..

#1 – Mt. Bulaylay Zipline

Located in Brgy. Landig, Cuyapo, this zipline in Mt. Bulaylay is 280 meters above sea level and measures 560 meters in length.

It is by far the cheapest zipline in the country, which cost P150 for adults and P100 for students. So make sure, if you’re a student, bring a valid ID to avail of the discount.

If you are adventurous enough to try an extreme activity, you definitely should try this.

I haven’t tried the zipline, not because I’m afraid of heights. But because I felt so full after we had this long table boodle fight haha!

I had cramps in my stomach after eating my yummy lunch. I’m not sure if it’s from what I had eaten, or I’m having stress anxiety thinking about the zipline ride lol!

Nevertheless, this ride to Mt. Bulaylay zipline is unforgettable. I was thrilled and I super enjoyed the breathtaking panorama of Nueva Ecija while enjoying the delicious food the Nueva Ecija folks prepared for us.

Before riding the zipline, here are the safety rules you should take a look at.

Next, we proceeded to our second stop…

#2 – Most Holy Face of Jesus Shrine

Photo by DOT Region III – Central Luzon Philippines

Inside the parish church of the Immaculate Conception in Nampicuan is their main attraction, a framed replica of the Holy Face of Manoppello in Italy.

The priest in charge gave us a brief tour inside their beautiful church and told us the awe-inspiring story of how the replica of the Holy Face of Manoppello came to Nampicuan.

I saw clearly how visible the beautiful image of the face of Jesus on the transparent veil, whether viewed from the front or the back.

There is also a cave-like chapel behind the church in which the Holy Cross of the Bone Relics of Saints rests.

If you are doing Visita Iglesia during the Holy Week or traveling to North, you should definitely include in your list the Immaculate Conception Parish Church in Nampicuan, Nueva Ecija.

I had an amazing and wonderful day visiting these awesome places in Nueva Ecija. We ended up the trip with a refreshing halo halo in Flora and Fauna Farm Garden, which is still under development.

According to Cuyapo Tourism, soon this place will be open for camping, fruit picking such as mango, durian, marang, and vegetable picking that you can cook within the farm and other activities.
